 The picture that I chose is about a woman that is heading to see two mansions; she is wearing white and red top, and a blue jean. Also she is wearing black shoes. She is bald, she is thin and her skin is light. The place where she is heading has two story mansions. One mansion is bigger than the other one. The biggest one is white and the roof is red, this mansion has a very beautiful main entrance and a big garage. Also it has three balconies and approximately it has ten bedrooms. The smallest mansion is brown and seems to be far away. Both mansions have different styles and they are located at a beach and you can reach it using the pier. The landscape is decorated with beautiful palms threes, the sky is all so blue and has a very warm environment.

This building is designed to take large inflows of light, this is done by the large skylight that has been on top. Besides the building is designed to give the feeling of verticality. Which is accentuated with the gesture of stretching the volume and enhanced by the skylight that you are not placed under one roof without allowing you to feel the relationship with the sky.
It was very enriching to work with sketch up, it has a lot of tools that allows you to recreate your ideas easier and faster. I think that this tool helps a lot to design because it reduces the cost of the materials. Also with this program you can create any space that you want in few minutes and rework it many times as you want.

On the photo we see a two-story yellow house. It has four windows distributed, two on one side of the wall one at the top of the other one. The other two windows are on the other side of the wall. In the middle of the wall is the door, on top of it there is a balcony. In front of the house we see a garden with some bushes and the trunk of a tall palm tree. In front of the tree we see a hammock. There is a woman resting in the hammock.

In the picture there is a girl with a red blouse and jeans satnding up diagonal to a house. This house is built over a big plane ground. The house has two-stories, and it's made of wood. There are many windows on the second floor and a lot of plants around the house, like palm trees and bushes. On the first floor you can watch a transparent rectangular window where you can see the inside of the house. It seems that nobody lives in the house because nobody is around or in it.

The House in 3D

I created this desing specially for a photographer client. As we can watch the house is builded for two persons with many spaces. It have one kitchen, one batroom, one bedroom and a great studio as work area. Moreover have it a garden and many many windows with overlooking to outside landscape, necessary to client.This is because to client like him watch and take photographs to the birds. The house have conforts and spaces all that need he.

My experience with Architec studio 3D, was very good. I could design one house for a specific client, in this case, a photographer. With this sofware I got many tools that helped me to elaborated the design fastest. Moreover provide us windows of helps and ideas to save time and work. It is very easy to use, Because whole beginning with our imagination.

Our digital figure is located in a tropical city surrounded by hills and many trees.Many buildings are located in it and each one of them have a different architectural style. They are white, yellow and brown and have many windows. The sky is above and the back looks like a sea. The vegetation is composed of palm trees,bushes and some other flowers.The trees have green, yellow and brown leaves.The hill has a lot of vegetation at the top. The space is closed with a white fence.One building resembles a Bar,is made out of wood, it has five chairs and two tables.It has a way made also of wood to go to it.The floor of it looks like sand.

In this image we can see a woman lying in a hammock, which is sustained by two wooden sticks, near what looks like a palm tree, behind her a little away is a big house light beige color. This house has some big white columns that define the main entrance; this entry consists of two wooden doors, a white arch and windows at the top of the door, also has white windows on the ground floor and on the first floor, which correspond to the rooms and around the house there is little vegetation.

This space was created for a writer who loves streamlined and spare rooms. These rooms are very spacious. Like I said, the client is a writer so she needs all the space possible for her books. I used a minimalist style to create this space linking it to the outdoors. She is very into gardening and tai chi, thats why we created 2 spaces for each one of them. I used a modern style to decorate the house and used many openings because I wanted it to be as clear as possible and invite the nature to go in. I placed 2 chimneys because I wanted to create a comfortable space to write and read.
Using Architectural 3D studio was a very exciting experience. Designing with this kind of tools is great because it reduces errors, work and time greatly. With these tools you can create a space previously designed in no time which makes the designing process more enjoyable

Architectural design for all people. I guess that is the concept of the creators of “Architect 3-D Studio”. This software makes design easier and more accessible. For example, I designed a house in few minutes and it didn’t require much effort. By the traditional way I need spent much time to do a plane. The best part of architect 3-D studio is the Frank Lloyd Wright teaching. Wright was one of the most important architects of all 20th century. You can see the hints of Wright of any issue while you are designing. Architect 3-D Studio is a good tool to introduce people into the architectural design.

I proved the Architect 3-D studio for design a house. The first step is choosing the client and location of project. Following the words of Frank Lloyd Wright, when you are designing a house, you must consider two things, the needs of people and the particulars of place. I selected a female writer as my client. She has preferences for quiet environments, and she need a big office and library. I choose a forest as location.

My design searches for create gentle conditions to elevate the creative potential of writer. I drew a floor plan with an empty space in the centre; this space will be a garden to transmit a “green atmosphere” to house’s interior. This typology is based on the Islamic traditional house. I made emphasis on the scale of office and library; I designed it bigger than other rooms. For achieve a connection between house and forest, wood is the main material of house. I think that is a good design for the writer and forest.

This building is based in the minimalist style. It looks like a futuristic
construction, with the minimum elements possible. The colors, grey and blue represent the simplicity of the project. The purpose of this structure isn’t define jet, is only a preview for an art exposition place, where, in
different rooms will be exposed the work of the artists.

Three experts got together to discuss about concrete, brick and stone. They had a chat and discussed advantages, disadvantages and properties of each material.

Daniel a stone expert, Patricia a brick expert, Lourdes a concrete expert and Desiree an iron and steel expert will help us compare each materials and get conclusions of their characteristics and advantages or disadvantages.

Federal judges in Mississipi have been trying to improve and define the design of a courtroom (judges benchcounsel tables, jury box, acustic, lights, etc) with the help of the technology, specifically the courtroom of Jackson, in order to avoid delays and elevated costs.

Many people are involved in this project. There are many groups that contribute with their experience looking for the problems exposed by the judges. These groups with the guide of GSA ( General Services Administration) want to show the virtual reality advance with respects to a 2D drawings and plywood muck-ups, because now it is possible to fix some issues in the design before the construction of the building.

Opinion:

I think this is a very interesting way to see what the client wants before spending time and money because it permits to improve many things oin the design and explore many possibilities. I think that virtual reality and digital modeling can be used also in other projects, but in coordination with the other traditional tools and with competent professionals.

Metaverse is a parallel universe, it is a virtual world where people can interact and create other worlds or spaces, this virtual world uses 3D images.
The creation of a world or a space needs a design, in this point metaverse is related to the architecture and urban planning. Metaverse could be a tool for architects or urban planners, because they can design a project in their computers and see how it will look in the future, before the project can be constructed, but architects and urban planners can’t limit only to this virtual universe because some things looks different in the reality, 3D images are closer to the reality but they are not the same.
Metaverse could be useful for architects and urban planners to make models on their computers and find the best way to do projects spending less money, but it could not be useful if the users just limit themselves to this program, because they build for a real world not for a virtual one.

Metaverse is a virtual parallel world on the internet. In there you can interact with other people like you do in the real and physical world. With Metaverse you can meet people around the world, create rooms to work and much more. It's a great communication tool for everybody. It can be used in any profession and have better results working on-line. It might erase any communication limit.
Architects can use this tool and create workrooms and work, in there on-line, with other architects and urban planners, they can share information with them without being together at the same time and place, meet architects in other places without having to travel to other countries, solving distance problems.
It is a good technological advance that gives many advantages to the architecture world.

Metaverse is a virtual world conformed by some applications or useful tool to create and modify designs, in the fietd of architecture and urban planning. When saying useful I mean that it simplifies the complex that could previously implies the manual design (costs, time, etc.), and mavies easier the modification and improvement of designs, we can generate many options to show on market, which in this moment is getting more competitive and requires more efficiency as well. When talking about efficiency I mean that al designs made this way may quickly adapts to the client exigencies. It’s important to say too, that this new option reduces considerably the representation costs.

Concerning advantages and disadvantages I think that this tool could be more helpful for architectian than for urban planners, because it shows detailed a building than a big open area. Urbanism is more amplified, I mean, its related more specifically with other disciplines like sociology, philosophy, etc. which study the demographic situation, a basic element for the creation of the design, where generally are involved private companies or even the government. Therefore showing the design to the client becomes more personal and the urban planner acts as a conselor between the client and the staff of designers.

Edunation seems a world of fiction. Because it is completely different to the common of the cities of the present time. First it doesn't have problems of contamination, problems caused for example by the quantity of cars, and the pedestrian's culture of throwing away garbage in the floor. Their inhabitants take care a lot of their environment. The quantity of population is little. It is so calm that it is know as a place to rest and to relax. There are not vandalism PROBLEMS. Their buildings are few and, in their majority they are enormous houses, the tallest have up to 3 floors. it has museums, hotels among others. The most beautiful about it and reason why it is very visited are the sunrises. there resembles those of the north pole.

The article “Virtual reality and digital modeling go on trial for a federal courtroom design” by Alan Joch makes reference to a new technological advance on designing buildings and the incorporation of the Virtual Reality in the process of design. This is being testED on a pilot project launched by the General Services Administration (GSA), that consists on a federal courtroom design.

Sponsors of the pilot project hope the design team and client can flag problems with sight lines, lighting, room geometries and the placement of elements like the judge’s bench, counsel tables, the jury box, and the witness stand, among others before THEY construct federal courtroom and to avoid expensive changes.
I think that Virtual Reality is an excellent tool design, because I consider that it is the best form of showing the design that the architect proposes to the client, allows him to change things of the design with a real perception of the space and to make these modifications at a low cost rate.

With the advances of the technology and the use of computers, a parallel world to the real one is created, that world is the metaverse, in which a person can be everything he/she has always dreamed of only using a computer.

The advances created programs like CAD and visualization, which use the technology to communicate, with images and “live” action.

The universities are using those programs to educate. They are used the study of architecture and urbanism for designing spaces with the computer without the need of making a model.

The virtual studies of the design have the potential to favor the collaboration over competition.

The interaction face to face is more direct to transport complex aspects of the architecture and the urban design.

The virtual media of the e-telier will shape a new architecture in the digital age.

I AM OF THE OPINION THAT IT IS EASIER TO DESIGN IN THE TRADITIONAL WAY, TO DRAW BY HAND AND MAKE MODELS ALTHOUGH IT IS A VERY PRIMITIVE WAY TO DESIGN (I ADMIT IT) TO AT LEAST LEARN TO DESIGN, AS IT IS MY CASE, BUT I WOULD LIKE IN THE FUTURE (WHEN I AM A PROFESSIONAL) TO DESIGN AND TO BE CONNECTED WITH OTHER ARCHITECTS ON THE WEB.

This picture shows the extension of a basically natural place, I mean, there is no urbanistic intervention as a basic element. The only element of this kind is the sidewalk made of wood shown on the frontal picture; what immediately place us in the context in which it is involved, that is a coast, and the sidewalk is an important way of communication and transportation for the development of recreational and cultural activities. I can define a knoll which generates a slope that smoothly ends up on what I think is a coast. It also shows the sidewalk around 7 palms as natural decoration, in a kind of way that remarks the existence of that sea which defines quiet.

Virtual reality and digital modelling go on trial for a federal courtroom design By Alan Joch The ARTICLE IS ABOUT A pilot project launched by the General Services Administration (GSA) to use virtual reality in the design process. IT ALLOWS a the judges to view stereographic representations of their new courtroom allowING the client TO flog problems with sight lines, lighting, and materials before its construction which is key for preventing problems. With THIS system IT is possible THAT THE elements could be rearranged based on the feedback of judges and others. IT Is possible to validate the design´s acoustic characteristics with on a 3D sound model created by Arup Acoustics . NEVERTHELESS, IT(sin embargo) presents some of the limitations of the virtual-reality process for lighting analysis but it GIVES us the opportunity to improve the design. The technology proved itself as a design tool I feel that is an excellent project and that IT should be exposed AROUND the world

This article, called “from atelier to e-telier” is about how technology has become so important in human’s life, in this case in the architect’s life. The virtual design studios (VDS) are a sample of the influence of the technology. In this VDS people can design and work with other people on the internet, and they can share their ideas with many persons around the world. There are two ways to design and work with people on the internet: synchronous (working at the same time with the other people, by video conference , for example) and asynchronous (not working at the same time, for example by email). The VDS are used by a lot of universities in the world.

I think this article is very real and actual. Nowadays people don’t have the necessity to work or have conferences face to face, because now we can use this VDS to make our L more comfortable and easier. Also we have more freedom to design and show our ideas, because the virtual world has no barriers.

The study of design has evolved in time,. Today the computer and internet are tools for to work or study. There is a hill in that place, in front of the hill there is a wood house of two floors, and next to this house there is white house with small windows. Between the houses and the hill there is a passage.
There is another person, besides Dafne, in front of the wood house.
Back is the sea; also it feels that it is a beach site because there are several palm trees.
Really that place is a very beautiful site in which Dafne enjoys and she wants to keep a good memory of this place.

The Metaverse is a universe within another one , is a space with a high definition 3D digital virtual world where users can meet and interact just like they do in the physical world. The metaverse is used to escape to reality, you can do all the things you ever dreamed. For that reason it is good for urban planners and architects, because they can make any design that they has dreamed just seating in front a computer and starting to work, also, they can understand the space with no need to pass hours doing models to see if it's really what they want. The disadvantage of metaverse is that the people need the computer to do everything, also, in the case of architects, when they doesn't making a model, still do not know if it is possible to do this designing.

The design is the core of architecture and urban planning. The design needs a space to develop a project. Nowadays with the technology available, this space can be virtual. The virtual space offers tools like: virtual dimensions and communication at different times. With the virtual design the location of the designers doesn't matter because they get connected on the internet and they can interact with other people by email or in a video conference session. The designers have tools to solve a design problem, with the virtual space the design problem can be divided among the participants, and each one is responsible for a part of the problem. Another tool of the virtual space is the communication time, this could be synchronous or asynchronous. The synchronous time needs the simultaneous presence of the designers involved in the problem and in the asynchronous time the designers can work at different times. In my opinion the virtual space is a good tool for architecture or urban planning, because it permits design in different programs through the internet, the designers can communicate with other people like critics or other designers in different times, and make 3D models before they can be constructed.

It is a calm day and Dafne is taking a brake, she is relaxing in a hammock in front of a big, yellow building. She is in the back yard of this building, from there she can see the vegetation, she feels the nature and the wind that makes a sound with the leaves of the trees.
Dafne enjoys the moment with the nature in this peaceful place.

Daf is on a hill at the sunset. There are palm trees and many shrubs. Since there, she can see two houses and a wood bridge. According to Jerry Laiserin in his article "From atelier to e-telier: virtual design studios" there is a new tool to study design for architecture students . This new tool is called Virtual Design Studios (VDS), it is a virtual place where students can work on a design problem together, without being on the same place or at the same time, they can receive comments from critics around the world and much more.

The design collaboration may be single-task (superposition of the views of all participants about the design problem) or multiple-task (each participant work on a particular portion of the design); and the communication may be synchronous (all the participants are working together at the same time on a design problem) or asynchronous (each participant work on a design problem but not necessarly at the same time).

The VDS is a great tool for design students around the world, and it is in fact being used in many universities like: Kumamoto University, UBC and many others in Mexico, Argentina and Chile.

Opinion: I think that VDS is a good tool for architecture students, is a different and cool way to learn, and to share comments about a design with other people around the world. With it, we can learn more having different views from many students, and it can help us have a better result in our designs.

Virtual design studios accedes to the students today to have contact with outposts tools that give them the opportunity to understand better the design and show them a great variety of possibilities and experiences to learn at the same time that introduces them in a global market.

It seems that the distance is not a problem anymore with the virtual design studies. The new architecture of the digital age grants to the students the possibility to be in contact and to make projects with any person who is anywhere in the world, synchronous or a synchronous (if it is required or not the presence of the person on-line). In addition, each participant of a project can be in charge of one part and have access too and participation in the process of the design of the whole project.

Creations like those of William Mitchell and his “Red Line” and the one of the Dr. Vásquez with his “Infinite Room” (in where an illusion is created of which spaces that are at great distances it seemed that they were in the same quarter) make us live in a new stage of the digital technology that helps us facilitate the recreation of our ideas.

I think that the new technology today helps us make our projects in an economic way and to be in contact with people in the whole world. This kind of programs allows us to learn more new things and they help us to introduce to us in a more global space.

Particularly there is a part of the article that catches my attention in which it says:" The catch is predicting whether VDS will isolate students from a sense of place and materiality, or if it will provide future architects the tools to reconcile communication environments and physical space ". It is true that tools like these facilitate the work to us, but they could also isolate us from the reality in which we live. Everything must have a balance but it is not possible to deny that the virtual design is a necessary instrument and of much aid.
